Basalt Fiber is a growing company focused on continuous development. Our unique technology for the production of basalt textile fibers was developed in 1998 (Patent #PCT/GE02/00005 GE 04993).
From the 90s of the last century, the founders of the company, began the construction of plant in Rustavi, based on the production documentation of basalt roving and their own technological findings, . And in 1998 the first Georgian basalt textile fiber was obtained. The company currently produces the following products at its own factory in Rustavi:
- Basalt continuous fiber
- Basalt rebar and rebar mesh
- Geogrids
- Chopped fiber
- Insulating mats and pads
- Basalt laminates
All these products, except for the insulation mat, are used for various types of reinforcement in concrete, asphalt and composite products. Basalt reinforcement products are exceptional by distinct technical and economic advantages over alternative reinforcement materials.
Basalt needling mat is used in heat, sound and fire insulation solutions.
Currently, the company produces various high quality products on the basis of continuous fiber from basalt stone using innovative technology, such as: chopped fiber, needling mat, geogrid and rebar.
